Echoes of the Long March: Young voices recite a classic

At Wenmiao Street Primary School in Tongwei County, Dingxi City, in northwest China's Gansu Province, the echoes of the Long March have turned into a red melody flowing through the hearts of these youngsters. In 1935, Mao Zedong chanted his majestic poem The Long March here for the very first time. Today, the children use their young yet firm voices to dialogue with history across time and space, keeping the great spirit of the Long March alive and thriving on a modern-day campus.

As an important local base for passing on red culture, Wenmiao Street Primary School integrates red education into daily life. From red culture corridors and classic poetry recitations to specialized practical courses, a variety of engaging campus activities allow the spirit of the Long March to take deep root, inspiring a new generation of youth to hold firm convictions and grow into capable contributors to the country.
