Chinese investigators completed an inspection of a fatal shooting scene at a scam compound in northern Myanmar within an eight-hour deadline. The compound spanned more than 1,200 square meters and contained over 30 rooms. Armed guards had opened fire on Chinese nationals trying to escape on August 5, 2023, killing six and injuring eight.

Despite the time limit and attempts to wash away bloodstains, the team recovered crucial blood traces and biological evidence from bullets. The findings supported an investigation that led to the arrests of six armed personnel and the compound’s financier, with assistance from Myanmar law enforcement authorities.
