A stray dog nicknamed Morocho became trapped in Santiago's swollen Mapocho River after heavy rain sent water levels surging.

Rescue teams made several attempts to reach him, but the strong current eventually swept him away. Against the odds, Morocho managed to find his way to the riverbank, where he was later taken to safety. Now recovering under care, Morocho is waiting for a second chance: a safe, loving home to call his own.
