How China's grassroots governance helps build 'cities for the people'

In recent years, various regions across China have centered on people's needs and advanced innovations in grassroots governance tailored to local realities.

Practices, such as the "Fengqiao Experience" in the new era, Beijing's Swift Response to Public Complaints, and the proactive response to address complaints before they are raised, serve as vivid examples of grassroots governance in action.

CGTN spoke with Zhang Youlang, deputy dean of the School of Public Administration under Renmin University of China, and Ma Liang, professor at the School of Government under Peking University, for their insights into how China's grassroots governance contributes to building "cities for the people."
