In late September, the 2026 "e Blooms Together" Strait Concert, produced by China Media Group (CMG), was held at Yanqi Lake in Beijing. More than 400 guests from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the concert, celebrating reunion and friendship with the Mid-Autumn Festival as a bond of affection.

Through classic songs, staged performances, Peking Opera excerpts and story-sharing, the concert highlighted the deep kinship between people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and promoted cross-Strait cultural exchanges and heart-to-heart connection.

The concert brought together tradition and modernity, classics and new voices. Classic melodies such as High Mountain Green, Grandma's Penghu Bay and The Crescent Moon evoked shared cultural memories. The staged performance Tea Thoughts Under the Moon portrayed longing and nostalgia through the images of the moon, tea and family letters.

The concert also featured three story-sharing sessions: Lai Tsai-ta, a young man from Taiwan region, and his mainland partners making breakthroughs in cutting-edge technology; Lee Shao-hwa and Hsu Hui-li, also from Taiwan, working in public welfare to help people with hearing impairments find jobs; and four young Taiwan musicians from the National Centre for the Performing Arts, showing the growth opportunities for young people from Taiwan on the mainland. These true stories illustrated a bright picture of people connecting heart to heart and pursuing dreams together.

The concert was more than a performance; it was a heartfelt cross-Strait embrace and a warm cultural exchange. More such exchanges are expected to bring compatriots closer through frequent interactions and help them jointly write a new chapter in moving forward together.
