Located in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, Shanghu Lake Scenic Area is a top-tier 5A national tourist attraction, one of China's first national urban wetland parks, and a national eco-tourism demonstration zone. It features natural wetland scenery that represents the classic beauty of southern China's landscapes.

The scenic area is famous for its vast, clear lake. Seven natural islands are scattered across the water, creating a unique landscape of "islands in the lake and lakes within islands." The most iconic highlight is the water forest, where rows of dawn redwood trees grow directly out of the lake water, offering peaceful and spectacular views all year round.
