China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets with diplomatic adviser to French president

China's top diplomat Wang Yi held the 28th China-France Strategic Dialogue with French President's Diplomatic Adviser Emmanuel Bonne on Saturday in Datong, China's Shanxi Province.

Wang Yi expressed hope that France can provide supportive policy and friendly environment for Chinese companies investing in their country. He noted that trust is the defining feature and basis of China-Europe relations while trade and economic differences are just a periodical phenomenon.  Both sides should promote a win-win outcome instead of a lose-lose result. He says China is willing to cooperate with France to implement a consensus reached by both heads of state in order to maintain strategic communication and strengthen strategic mutual trust.

Bonne said that France will continue to provide a predictable business environment for Chinese companies investing in their country. He said Europe's development needs China and that Europe doesn't want a trade war with China or is seeking to decouple from it. He said that France is willing to be a trustworthy partner with China and it wants to define Europe-China relations through balance and cooperation to achieve mutual development built on trust and the spirit of contract.
