From October 9 to 11, around 100 guests from China and abroad attended the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province.

Themed "Sustaining the Cultural Lineage of Ancient Capitals, Advancing Mutual Learning Among Urban Civilizations," the event featured one main dialogue and three themed sessions focusing on cultural heritage preservation, smart manufacturing and urban renewal.

Alongside the discussions, delegates took part in on-site visits to the Longmen Grottoes, the Luoyang Museum and local equipment manufacturing plants, exchanging ideas informed by their firsthand experiences.
