US President Donald Trump on Saturday called for Ukraine to replace President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and urged Kyiv to stop striking Russian oil refineries, saying the attacks were affecting global fuel markets.
Speaking at the White House in Washington on October 10, Trump also said the Russia-Ukraine conflict should never have begun, blamed its outbreak on incompetence and accused Zelenskyy of failing to reach a deal to end it. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha later defended Zelenskyy, saying he had the support of the Ukrainian people and that it was up to Ukrainians to decide who leads the country.
