The redeveloped Huanggang Port officially opened at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, providing 24-hour clearance services for passengers and passenger vehicles between China’s Shenzhen and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
The port is the first land boundary control point between Shenzhen and Hong Kong to adopt the "collaborative inspection and joint clearance" mode. Eligible travelers can complete immigration procedures for both sides in one queue, cutting the overall clearance time from around 30 minutes to about five minutes.
