A grassland fire that broke out on the Mongolian side of the China-Mongolia border has been spreading toward China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region since October 9.

Authorities in Inner Mongolia have mobilized more than 2,000 firefighters and local crews, deploying teams along sections of the border and strengthening patrols, fire monitoring, and emergency coordination. As of 9 p.m. on October 11, the fire had not crossed into China, and containment efforts were continuing.
