Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Botswana's President Duma Gideon Boko in Beijing on Tuesday.

"We must cherish the journey we have shared, supporting one another along the way, forge ahead on the broad path of China-Botswana relations in the new era, and contribute to global development and progress," Xi said.

He also proposed elevating bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
