The Chinese mainland has announced punitive measures against VWAY Co., Ltd., a trading company operated by Shen Tucheng, the father of Shen Pao-yang. The measures prohibit the company from conducting transactions or engaging in cooperation with mainland organizations, businesses and individuals.

Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday that Shen had continued trade and business cooperation with mainland companies through VWAY after Zhaoyi Co., Ltd., another company he headed, was subjected to punitive measures in June 2025.

Chen said the measures were intended to prevent companies associated with individuals designated by the mainland as "Taiwan independence" diehards from profiting through business dealings with the mainland.
