Share the poem in your heart! Global classical Chinese poetry short video contest opens for entries

About the Program:

Some say poetry is the most beautiful expression of the Chinese language. Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Su Shi, Li Qingzhao… who's your favorite icon of classical Chinese poetry?

For the first time, Classical Chinese Poetry Contest – a prestigious cultural program in China – is opening its doors to contestants from around the world.

Building on a decade of brand heritage, China Media Group (CMG) proudly presents Classical Chinese Poetry Contest: International Edition, a major cultural exchange program built around the theme "United by Poetry, Across the World." International students in China and poetry lovers from abroad will come together to compete through recitation, quiz rounds and dramatized performances, revealing the depth of classical Chinese poetry and the cross-cultural resonance it inspires.

Starting today, we invite poetry lovers everywhere to participate. Let poetry be the bridge that connects the world.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals.

2. A genuine passion for classical Chinese poetry, a solid foundation in classical Chinese poetry, and fluency in spoken Chinese

3. No restrictions on age or occupation

4. Strong communication skills and stage presence

Terms and Conditions:

1. Accuracy of information

Applicants must ensure all submitted information is true and accurate. Any falsified information may result in disqualification.

2. Use of materials

Submitted videos and photos may be used for program promotion, including but not limited to broadcast on CMG channels and platforms, as well as affiliated social media accounts.

3. Selection process

Applications and videos will be reviewed by the production team and a panel of experts. Selected contestants will be notified officially, with further details on filming to follow.

4. No fees

Participation is completely free of charge.
