Thangka artist Sonam Tsering is giving the traditional art form a new twist, replacing mineral pigments with colored wool. He displays his work across the grasslands, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, sheep and people of his hometown in Xizang Autonomous Region. His art remains deeply connected to the place he calls home.
