Overseas markets are becoming an important growth driver for China's clean energy equipment industry. Since the beginning of this year, exports of equipment for power generation, power transmission and transformation, and energy storage have maintained rapid growth.

Built with the participation of PowerChina and Dongfang Electric Corporation, the 2,115-megawatt Julius Nyerere Hydropower Plant in Tanzania was inaugurated in August, with capacity to meet about half of the country's electricity demand.
