This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March. The route took the Red Army soldiers across 14 provinces, over 18 mountain ranges and across 24 major rivers. They slogged through swamplands, traversed snow-covered peaks and covered a distance of roughly 8,000 miles – over 12,000 kilometers – mostly on foot. Nearly a century later, the epic journey continues to echo through films, TV dramas and stage performances. In today's episode of our series report Echoes of the Journey, CGTN reporter Shen Li looks beyond the screen to discover the people, choices and convictions that have kept the spirit of the Long March alive across the generations.
