In the lead-up to the traditional festival, Emin County in Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, provided free postoperative follow-up services and community eye-care education for elderly cataract patients through its sight-restoration program.
The county screened 1,015 people and provided free cataract surgery to 416 eligible residents from different ethnic groups.
