Jiangtaibu in Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was where the Red Army’s three major forces completed their historic reunion in 1936 during the Long March — a turning point in the history of the revolution.

In 2016, President Xi Jinping visited the area paying tribute to those who lost their lives on the journey. He also called for a new Long March and urged people to carry forward the Long March spirit. A decade later, CGTN reporter Huang Yichang returned to the region to see how the villagers there are embarking on a new journey.
