Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Sunday that China stands ready to work with Tajikistan to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

During talks with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Li, who is on an official visit to the Central Asian country, said China will deepen cooperation with Tajikistan in trade and investment, green minerals, connectivity, clean energy, artificial intelligence and other areas.

Li said China stands ready to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest and establish businesses in Tajikistan, expressing hope that Tajikistan would continue to provide a favorable business environment for them.

As important members of the Global South, China and Tajikistan should unite and coordinate more closely, safeguard the common interests of both countries and uphold international fairness and justice, the Chinese premier said.
