Located in Ganzhou City, east China's Jiangxi Province, the Jiangnan Songcheng Historical and Cultural Tourism Area, also known as Songcheng District, is a national 4A-rated scenic area. Ganzhou was a starting point for the Central Red Army's Long March. In October 1934, the Red Army's main forces crossed the Yudu River here, beginning a journey of roughly 12,500 kilometers. Today, the area remains an important landmark in the history of the Long March and a lasting symbol of China's Red heritage.
