CGTN on Monday officially launched a multilingual immersive interactive experience to mark the 90th anniversary of the Red Army's Long March victory, bringing this historic military expedition to global audiences in six languages: Chinese, English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian.
Through some compelling stories, the interactive experience explores the public support, soldiers' perseverance and strategic turning points that shaped the Long March, shedding light on how the Communist Party of China (CPC) has weathered repeated trials, continued to advance and grown into the world's largest political party.
The story began in October 1934. After the failure of the fifth counter-encirclement and suppression campaign against Kuomintang forces, more than 86,000 troops of the Central Red Army led by the CPC was forced to leave the Central Revolutionary Base Area in east China and embarked on the historic journey. Over the next two years, they crossed 14 provinces, climbed nearly 40 major mountains, traversed close to 100 rivers and fought more than 600 battles.
