China will introduce a liquidity support facility to help non-bank financial institutions cope with large-scale redemptions, People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng said on Monday.

The measures were unveiled at the opening ceremony of the annual Financial Street Forum 2026 in Beijing, where several of China's top financial regulators shared their policy priorities.

Pan also outlined a broader package of financial measures, including improving the benchmark for loan pricing and facilitating overseas financial institutions' trading of the yuan in China's foreign exchange market.

Meanwhile, Ding Xiangqun, head of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, said that China will continue to advance institutional opening-up in the financial sector and welcome more foreign financial institutions and long-term capital.

Ding added that China will also respond to the needs of foreign institutions, improve regulatory frameworks and foster a fair, transparent and stable policy environment.

Wu Qing, chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), said that China's assets are becoming increasingly attractive to investors.

The CSRC would approve the registration of the first batch of 18 actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Monday, Wu added, marking a step toward greater innovation in fund products and potentially bringing more capital into the market.

Zhu Hexin, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China and head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), said SAFE plans to roll out a new package of measures to help Chinese companies better participate in international cooperation and competition.

The 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference runs from October 19 to October 22 in Beijing, bringing together more than 400 distinguished guests from over 40 countries and regions.
