Cardiovascular disease remains the leading health threat for people across the world, yet many still underestimate their own cardiovascular risk.

In this episode of Health Talk, Dr. Roxana Mehran, president of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, highlights the importance of earlier recognition and prevention, particularly for people with risk factors such as blood pressure issues, obesity and cardiometabolic disease.

Reflecting on China's healthcare progress, Mehran is impressed by the country's advancements and highlights significant opportunities for cross-border collaboration. She emphasizes that medicine knows no borders, while effective healthcare also requires an understanding of regional and cultural differences.
