Masahiko Shimizu, a constitutional law professor at Nippon Sport Science University, criticized Japan for failing to fully reflect on its history of aggression and for continuing to glorify militarism. He said Japanese politicians' visits to the Yasukuni Shrine or offerings made there are unacceptable and violate Japan's constitution.
