In the fight against superbugs, ancient botanical wisdom can team up with artificial intelligence (AI) to help tackle global health threats, Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, tells CGTN. 

By using AI to discover drug targets and study how medicines work in the body, we can back up herbal remedies with hard science, he says. 

He believes traditional medicine can help prevent illnesses, manage long-term diseases, make healthcare fairer around the world and improve medical access for everyone.
