In a journey across time, Xiao Hong, a young Red Army soldier in 1935, meets Lin Xiao, a young researcher in 2026. One once struggled to find a way through the snow-covered mountains; the other is searching for a breakthrough in science and technology. Through each other's experiences, they discover a shared belief: the way ahead may be uneven, but the journey must go on.

For a journey is measured not only by the road we travel, but also by the path we leave for those who follow.
