The 2026 APEC CEO Summit will be held in Shenzhen, south China, on November 17 and 18 under the theme "Building Prosperity Together for a Shared Future."

Free trade, regional cooperation and green energy are among the priorities New Zealand residents hope to see addressed at the upcoming 2026 APEC CEO Summit. Speaking to CGTN, local residents shared their views on the topics of this APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and the bilateral relationship between China and New Zealand.

One resident emphasized the need to focus on free trade within the Asia-Pacific region and reducing trade tariffs. Others expressed hope that China and New Zealand will deepen cooperation in green energy to combat climate change and build a sustainable future.
