This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, a historic military trek crucial to the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 1935, the Red Army braved snow and freezing temperatures to cross Jiajin Mountain in southwest China during the Long March. Today, at the foot of the mountain, a local villager is cultivating a different kind of hope — turning roses into a source of income for thousands of local people. Known as "Rose Sister," Chen Wanghui sees her journey as a Long March of her own.
