Baiyangdian Lake, located in Xiongan New Area, Hebei Province, is the largest freshwater lake in north China. Covering a total area of more than 300 square kilometers, it is known as the "Pearl of North China" and the "Kidney of north China." It boasts abundant aquatic resources, with over 50 species of freshwater fish. On the lake, ripples shimmer, water birds chirp, reeds sway, and the subtle fragrance of lotus drifts in the air, forming an exquisite ecological landscape. Thanks to its sound ecological environment, the 2026 Global Governance Forum (Xiongan) is held here from October 23 to 25, seeking to build consensus and strengthen international confidence in working together to address shared challenges and build a more just and equitable global governance system.
