Through a thundering chorus and sweeping flag formations, the spirit of the Long March roars back to life. Inspired by Mao Zedong's poem The Long March, the stirring performance pays tribute to the Red Army's historic journey across rugged mountains and raging rivers, turning hardship into triumph through the timeless refrain:

"Of the trying Long March the Red Army makes light; Thousands of rivers and mountains are barriers slight."

It honors the determination and resilience that carried the Red Army forward.

The performance is part of Ode to the Long March, a TV gala marking the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's Long March, airs on October 22 on China Media Group platforms.
