A magnitude-7.0 earthquake hit Baqen County in Nagqu City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, at 10:33 p.m. on Thursday. CCTV footage captured the tense moments as the earthquake struck.

As of 5:20 a.m. on Friday, 16 people had been killed and 46 others injured, according to the city's emergency management bureau.
