The 2026 APEC CEO Summit will be held in Shenzhen from November 17 to 18, under the theme "Promoting Prosperity, Winning the Future Together." On this occasion, CGTN Stringer invited people from several APEC member economies to share their stories of cooperation between China and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as their observations and views on said cooperation.
In this episode, CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Toronto, Canada, to discuss topics the public believes APEC should focus on, China-Canada cooperation, as well as Chinese manufacturing and "Made in China products." Interviewee George Wilson said he hopes this year's APEC will focus more on artificial intelligence. "When it comes to Canada, I feel like we're lacking, while China's just so far ahead of us," he said. Another interviewee, Christian, said he very much looks forward to more people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries, noting that both have many smart and talented people. He believes that cooperation between them would undoubtedly yield excellent results.
