Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI on Saturday unveiled Kimi K3.1 Pro, a new model designed to boost performance in coding, 3D creation, financial research and complex, multi-step tasks, adding momentum to China's competition with leading US AI developers.

The model is the first release in Moonshot AI's K3.1 series and the company's most capable open-weight model in the 3-trillion-parameter class to date, according to the company's announcement on October 24. It features a context window of one million tokens, enabling it to process large volumes of information in a single interaction.
