The Slovenian National Theatre Maribor has brought an early comedy by German playwright Bertolt Brecht to China for the first time. Written in 1919 and rarely staged since, A Respectable Wedding arrives as the world marks 70 years since Brecht's death and as part of the Beijing People's Art Theatre International Theatre Invitation Exhibition. CGTN's Zhang Meng spoke with the company's artistic director and actors about reviving this early work and how theatre brings different cultures to the same table.
