UN concerned by Israel's 'disproportionate' use of force in Hebron

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and his office issued a statement on October 26, expressing serious concern over Israel's large-scale military operation in Hebron in the West Bank.

The Israeli military operation has displaced more than 2,000 Palestinians, damaged homes and commercial buildings, and restricted the movement of local residents, spokesperson Jeremy Laurence said in Geneva.

He criticized Israel's excessive use of force, demanding an immediate end to the operations, the right of return for displaced residents, and full compensation.
