Autumn is at its most vibrant across China, drawing visitors to forests ablaze with shades of red, gold and green. 

Colorful woodlands surround crystal-clear alpine lakes at Pudacuo National Park in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, while Baima Snow Mountain and Meili Snow Mountain are also at their best for autumn viewing. Snow-capped mountains contrast with layers of autumn foliage in Cuopugou scenic area, Batang County, Sichuan Province. Meanwhile, red leaves are at their peak in Hongyanling Natural Scenic Area in Yangquan, Shanxi Province, where hiking trails wind through colorful hillsides.
