MEP: 'Unprovoked war' is a lie, NATO expansion to blame for Ukraine

Michael von der Schulenburg, a seasoned UN veteran and a member of European Parliament for Germany, blew the lid off the narrative surrounding the Ukraine war in an interview with Glenn Diesen, professor of international relations at the University of Southeast Norway.

The public has been “lied” to about the war in Ukraine, von der Schulenburg said, and the conflict was not “unprovoked.”

According to him, NATO’s eastward expansion is the root cause of the bloodshed. By slamming the door on dialogue with Moscow and brushing off Russia's security red lines, European leaders sleepwalked right into disaster – and cost countless lives in the process. #GoodPoint
