A 1,207-meter-long bridge on the Xi'an-Chongqing high-speed railway was completed on Tuesday in Xuanhan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The 739-km-long railway is designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h. The Xi'an-Ankang section opened last month, while the Ankang-Chongqing section is scheduled to open in 2028. Once fully operational, the railway will cut travel time between the megacities of Xi'an and Chongqing to less than three hours, improving connectivity across western China.
