The Communist Party of China (CPC) has more than 100 million members and over 5.4 million primary-level Party organizations, giving it a powerful advantage unmatched by any other political party in the world, a senior official said on Friday.

Huang Jianfa, deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a press conference explaining the guiding principles from the fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, which was held in Beijing from October 26 to 29.

Party organizations at all levels, along with Party members and officials, bear responsibility for exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance and are a key force in advancing the cause of the Party and the country, Huang said.
