The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit 2026 will be held in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, from November 17 to 18, with the theme "promoting prosperity together for a win-win future."

Ahead of the summit, CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Chile to hear locals’ views on APEC priorities, Chilean products with potential in China, and the impact of Chinese-made goods on daily life.

Interviewees noted the growing presence of Chinese electric vehicles and tech products in Chile, citing their advanced technology and affordability. They also saw opportunities to expand exports of Chilean fruit, wine and cheese to China. Looking ahead, they called for closer cooperation in tourism, technological innovation and lithium battery manufacturing, highlighting the potential to combine Chile’s natural resources with China’s technological strengths.
