The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) concluded its fifth plenary session in Beijing on Thursday, adopting the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Certain Major Issues concerning Persevering with Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance.

Highlighting that "advancing full and rigorous self-governance is an unceasing endeavor," the resolution stressed the need to maintain a tough stance against corruption and strengthen checks on and oversight over the exercise of power.
