The CPOPwave 2026 global dialogue on China's popular culture and creative industries has opened in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, as part of the 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit.

Representatives of leading creative brands and content in gaming, animation, film and television, along with industry experts and scholars, gathered to discuss key trends and challenges facing the pop-culture industry, including content creation and production models, global operations, AI applications and copyright compliance. Drawing on successful examples from the past year, participants also explored ways to bring more Chinese original content to international audiences and foster cross-cultural connections through creativity in the digital age.

A report on Chinese pop-culture brands and creative content in international markets was released, highlighting successful case studies and sharing insights into how Chinese original works are brought to global audiences.
