China has been in communication with relevant parties regarding a trilateral meeting among the heads of state of China, Russia and the United States, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday.

Mao made the remarks at a regular press briefing when asked whether a China-Russia-US summit was being arranged on the sidelines of the APEC meetings in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province.

China will host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in the southern Chinese city November 18-19.
