Humans have five senses. Machines can already see and hear. But what about touch? UK-based deep-tech company TG0 is pioneering AI for Sensing technology to give machines a sense of touch, allowing them to better sense and interact with the physical world.
Founded in 2015 by Dr Guo Liucheng and Kong Ming, TG0 has developed its own AI-powered sensing technology. By integrating sensing capabilities into materials and using AI algorithms to interpret signals, it enables surfaces to detect touch, pressure, and movement.
The technology can be applied to a wide range of materials, from plastic and rubber to fabric, wood, and glass. From a touch-sensitive guitar that makes music, to a smart car seat that senses body posture and pressure distribution, and a robotic hand that can feel and respond to physical contact, TG0 is opening up new possibilities for human-machine interaction.
Curious how it works? Let’s take a closer look.
