What if a trade deal could do more than move goods — what if it could create opportunities for an entire community?
Eight years after coming to China, Zambian entrepreneur Christine Mwansa, known by her Chinese name "玫瑰 (Rose)," is building business links between China and Africa from Hangzhou and Yiwu in east China's Zhejiang Province. She brings Chinese energy storage systems and agricultural machinery to Zambia, helping communities access alternative power solutions and creating new opportunities for local entrepreneurs and women's cooperatives.
But her work goes beyond imports. Using AI-powered digital platforms to help businesses track transactions and manage orders, Mwansa is also bringing digital services to African markets, supporting sectors from agriculture to food processing. At the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, her story offers a glimpse of how digital trade can connect businesses, empower local communities and create new opportunities across China and Africa.
