Mangroves are more than just trees along the shore. They protect coastlines, support biodiversity and provide a vital habitat for wildlife. At Xiatanwei in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province, years of restoration have brought 85 hectares of mangroves back to life, creating a thriving coastal ecosystem and offering valuable lessons in nature conservation.
