Funerals were held on Saturday for Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces who confronted protesters. Palestinians also prepared for further protests near the Gaza border. On Friday, 17 Palestinians were killed as tens of thousands of Palestinians gathered along the border, where tents were erected for a planned six-week protest advocating for the right of refugees to return to the area of what is now claimed by Israel.
