2017 will finally bring peace and order to the lives of Colombia’s FARC rebels.
According to the peace deal signed in November with the Colombian government, the combatants will be gathering in demobilization zones to hand in their weapons under the supervision of the United Nations over the next six months.
On Wednesday, the country’s Congress passed a law granting amnesty to some rebels as part of the country's peace deal, a development the government has hailed as "historic."

The conflict in Colombia has has killed 220,000 in 55 years.
