Former Chongqing Party chief Sun Zhengcai under investigation

China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) will launch an investigation into Sun Zhengcai, former Chongqing Party chief, according to a decision by the CPC Central Committee.

Sun had been Party chief of Chongqing since November 2012 but was removed from the post on July 15, 2017, after being suspected of disciplinary violations.
